Content Marketer/Social Media Manager

Modern Wisdom Press is looking for a part-time Content Marketer/Social Media Manager to help us package, edit, design, and promote our library of content and services.

Your Role

The primary role of the content marketer/social media manager is to develop an online marketing strategy to generate leads for our services and expand awareness of Modern Wisdom Press through packaging, designing, and re-purposing our existing content for different outreach channels, including a blog, eNewsletters, social posts, and creative campaigns.

The great news is that we have a large and growing content library.

While we work as a supportive team, this role will require some independence and the confidence to be creative and experimental with your ideas. This virtual position will start part-time at 10-15 hours per week with the potential for growth. You will report directly to the two principals of MWP. Location is flexible, but a U.S. time zone is preferred. Compensation will adjust based on experience.

 Qualities and Abilities

  • You’re positive, self-motivated, and self-aware. (Personal and professional integrity are important to you.)
  • You have a proven track record for clear and transparent communication.
  • You have exceptional editing and writing skills (you can spot a typo from a mile away)!
  • You have a creative appetite for design and enjoy creating beautiful content.
  • You are tech savvy and are extremely well-versed in online marketing, ideally with software literacy in Kajabi, Asana, Google Suite, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
  • You have an interest in the book coaching/publishing industry and a desire to learn more through research and data (focused on increasing the reach and engagement that your work provides).

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage our social media marketing strategy and online content calendar, working ahead by several weeks or months.
  • Design, package and repurpose existing content from Modern Wisdom Press programming, videos, interviews, transcripts, webinars, etc. for our blog, social, website, and outreach.
  • Create effective campaign strategies to expand brand visibility and increase engagement across platforms.
  • Report on key metrics with actionable insights and takeaways.
  • Help manage our brand consistency and presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube - using creative strategies for engaging our ideal audience through those networks.
  • Advise on Facebook/Google advertising campaigns if experienced.
  • Support us in fostering our community of aspiring authors and clients through creative content distribution.
